I began the process like I would any, track down the lucky individual looking after the marketing for the event and get a conversation going about what they have planned for their campaign, as I knew the acts were spread across venues all over the city.
A few email conversations later and I got our portfolio over to Chris who said he would bounce it round the office and get back to me with his thoughts. I thought that the Strand site would be perfect for him, as it situates minutes from the Echo Arena and has enormous traffic impacts as it faces six lanes of constant traffic flow.
The lucky site to take this amazing musical campaign in the end was on Back Castle Street, parallel to the Liverpool town hall. This location was one of our first and sits in the heart of the busy business district, has an amazing backdrop with the Liver Birds and faces 3 lanes of busy traffic with lights that increase dwell time.
We loved the artwork also, purple and gold and a big picture of Nile Rodgers himself over-looking all the busy people commuting to work, out for lunch or just the comers and goers of the town hall.
