Choosing to work from home is a decision we have not taken lightly.
This is a new way of working for the entire team, so poses a lot of new and unique challenges, but it’s essential that we remain connected.
We thought we’d share some of our tips which have helped us keep focused and remain productive after our first week of working from home!
Try and maintain as much of your regular routine as possible – get up at the same time as normal and write out tasks you can complete through the day. Also try not to stay glued to the news, instead find ways to self-improve.
Working in 25 minute intervals followed by a 5 minute break has been the key for me so far.
Whether I spend that 5 minute micro-break sitting in the garden, making a quick phone call to friends or simply a little walk round the house, it clears my head and breaks my day up!”
Try and stay positive and focus on coming out the other side once this is all over. Stay active and go for a walk/run and get some fresh air. Try to limit social media as this just feeds further anxiety!
Surround yourself with nice, comforting things, such as plants and candles. Chain drink cups of tea and make a banging WFH playlist.
FRESH AIR!
Get some fresh air down you. Open your window once in a while. Wear a sleeping bag if you’re cold.
I think it’s very important to talk to your colleagues as much as possible and keep in touch via online platforms like Slack and Google Hangouts.
I also like to move around throughout the day rather than spending the whole work day sat in one spot in my flat.
Keep positive, over-communicate with your team, take breaks and get some fresh air!
Have a break away from the screen by taking a 5 minute walk outside.
