OPEN are celebrating Pride Month 2021 with a nationwide DOOH campaign, proudly displaying inspirational messages from the LGBTQ+ community across our entire digital portfolio, in order to recognise how far we’ve come as well as raise awareness about the continual struggle for equality.
Our #OpenAndProud campaign is designed to amplify the voices of the LGBTQ+ community by providing access to our nationwide platform in order to be visible and speak loudly about what we have achieved, how far we have come and what is still needed in the future.
The quotes have been contributed by a diverse range of members of the LGBTQ+ community across a wide scope of industries, expressing what Pride Month means to them individually, addressing and acknowledging the need to challenge prejudice and celebrating your true self unapologetically.
Pride Month promotes embracing who you are and letting the world know – which is a notion we at OPEN support wholeheartedly.
As physical Pride events are going through an uncertain period through the COVID-19 pandemic, the campaign is more important than ever for OPEN to honour and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month 2021.
While we aren’t able to celebrate Pride in person this year, we cannot let the occasion pass without marking it. It is campaigns like this giving a voice to our community, that have a meaningful impact on society and embody everything the Pride movement stands for.
We should all be proud to be who we are, and to shout it from the rooftops. I hope this campaign empowers people to do just that, and to realise that their individuality is their superpower.
