Our #OpenAndProud campaign is designed to amplify the voices of the LGBTQ+ community by providing access to our nationwide platform in order to be visible and speak loudly about what we have achieved, how far we have come and what is still needed in the future.
The quotes have been contributed by a diverse range of members of the LGBTQ+ community across a wide scope of industries, expressing what Pride Month means to them individually, addressing and acknowledging the need to challenge prejudice and celebrating your true self unapologetically.
Pride Month promotes embracing who you are and letting the world know – which is a notion we at OPEN support wholeheartedly. This year we have once again partnered with MSB Solicitors and LCR Pride, and want to extend a massive thank you to them for making this important campaign a possibility.
After restricted Pride events last year during the pandemic, it’s so nice to be launching this campaign in person to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month 2022.

“At OPEN Media we believe it’s vital to use our wide platform to raise awareness and amplify the voices of those who still face adversity — especially after the past year. We are thrilled to celebrate those in the LGBTQ+ community living their most authentic lives to mark Pride Month 2022!”

This campaign will run on OPEN’s social platforms and the entirety of our digital portfolio across the month of June. For those close to our screens up and down the country, we encourage you to head out and see the messages in person at each of our locations but if not, the images will be shared throughout the month on our social platforms here.
You can also find a gallery below, complete with all of the submissions to view and share. Have a read through for some inspiring words about what Pride month means to us and why it is still so important for LGBTQ+ voices to be heard.
