Following a brief hiatus during the Pandemic, this year sees the anticipated return of Liverpool Art Fair organised by Liverpool-based arts specialists, dot-art.

As a company, dot-art supports a range of visual artists from sculptors to painters, aiming to champion art as an integral part of everyday life. The Fair itself promises to showcase over 800 pieces of locally sourced and affordable art (with entry prices starting from as little as £20), providing in excess of 175 budding artists with a platform to display their creative talents.

Established initially in 2012, each year the Fair attracts a hugely captive audience from all over the North West, having amassed over 50,000 visitors to its events over the last decade alone, while spotlighting the works of 1,700 artists to date (and counting).

To help drive awareness of the Fair’s much awaited comeback, Open Media is pleased to be announced as The Official Media Partner for Liverpool Art Fair 2023.

Taking place in the City this summer across a 7 week period, Liverpool Art Fair officially launches Friday 30th June, while its return sees the Fair relocated to a brand new location in Liverpool’s iconic Liver Building – rather fittingly the permanent home of Open Media’s headquarters.

Across the exhibition period, Open Media will be celebrating the Fair’s return to Liverpool, by generating awareness across the Open Connect and Open D48 networks in the City, whilst also emphasising the influence of art on the City’s culture.

Open 6 days a week, entry to Liverpool Art Fair is completely free as part of dot-art’s ambition to make art accessible to all, a value which closely aligns to Open Media’s CSR strategy to promote meaningful and inclusive initiatives at a local, regional and national level.

To further cement the partnership, Open Media will be playing a pivotal role in promoting this year’s People’s Choice Award, a prestigious title which recognises the Art Fair’s favourite piece of work as voted for by the general public. In celebration of this, Open will champion the deserving winner’s piece of artwork across its networks in the City, creating a highly visible and memorable gallery in an out of home environment, generating fame and further credibility of Liverpool Art Fair.

The partnership between Liverpool Art Fair and Open Media will commence officially from 19th June 2023 and will run across the full exhibition period until 20th August.

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Open Media as a partner for Liverpool Art Fair 2023. Post pandemic, we feel it is more important than ever to give local artists a platform to sell their work and we hope to attract large audiences of both locals and tourists to the Liver Building this summer.

Working with Open Media will give a huge boost to our visibility across the city region and help us spread the word that art is for everyone! The two organisations’ values are also fantastically aligned, both in terms of support and engagement on a local level, and putting
sustainability at the heart of everything we do.”

“The return of the Liverpool Art Fair this summer is great news for the City and we’re incredibly proud to be a part of it, as media partners this year.

Art is for everyone – the Liverpool Art Fair helps to reiterate that important message and we’re excited to see such creativity take over the Royal Liver Building, which is also home to Open HQ!”

Marketing Director, OPEN Media.

The Liverpool Art Fair also hosted an amazing event, featuring an interview with Liverpool based sculptor, Faith Bebbington, where she delivered a raw account of her journey with the arts to date and discussed the importance of ensuring the arts with the national school curriculum.

As well as this insightful Q&A, at the event the winner of the People’s Choice Award was announced – a massive congratulations to Hilary Dron, whose prize includes a year’s subscription to Dot Art, a personal 2 week showcase of works at Cass Art and a campaign across Open Media screens to promote her award winning work!

So far, Liverpool Art fair have recorded 150 pieces of art sold, which equates to their most successful year yet!

You’ve still got until the 20th of August to visit the Royal Liver Building to view this award winning work, as well as an assortment of sculptures and prints by 175 other local artists (as well as make any last minute purchases!).
