OPEN are proud to announce a brand new long-term partnership with The Guide Liverpool, as our exclusive news provider on our Liverpool Central Internal out-of-home sites. The Guide provide important news to the entirety of the Liverpool City Region, covering everything from new retail and hospitality openings to lifestyle and business news.
The Guide are going to have a constant presence on our site, utilising Central Station’s full-motion capabilities to provide the commuters, shoppers & students passing through this station at all times of the day with the latest news from Liverpool, for Liverpool.
Our Central Station sites sit inside the busiest station in the city, with over 16 million annual users, averaging at just over 45,000 a day. This is only counting those who check in and out of the station – the recent influx of shops, bars and restaurants in the foyer of the station and the immediate surrounding area has raised the footfall significantly too in recent months.
OPEN are proud to be a Liverpool based organisation and we are always keen to work with other businesses with strong roots in the city, such as The Guide.
Central station represents the perfect location for this news spot partnership, as The Guide’s exclusive focus on local news is much more relevant to the people passing through Central – which exclusively services those commuting to the city centre from the wider city region, as opposed to the national links at Lime Street.
The nature of the Guide’s stories also resonated with us too, due to their positive nature – shouting about all the good that’s going on in the city, and this sort of content is going to have much more impact on this target audience.
This partnership kicked off with some perfectly placed content, targeting attendees of the Grand National Festival, in what was one of the busiest days of the year for Central Station in terms of footfall, as it provides the quickest and easiest way to reach Aintree racecourse from the city centre.
