What does your role consist of?
My role at OPEN is as the Design and Photography Assistant. You can usually find me in the office either editing photos that I took of our sites to send over to clients, or I’m doing many different design tasks, ranging from creating assets for our socials and even some charity copy to working on mockups to show off what our sites can do.
How did you originally get into design and photography?
I got into design at first in High School thanks to my Art Teacher, Ms. Mason. She convinced me to go and study it for my degree, and I made the last minute decision to do so. I started photography at Uni back in America, but didn’t really get into it till moving down to Liverpool and I’ve loved doing it ever since!
What is your favourite part of your job?
Honestly I love every aspect of my job so far! If I was to choose though, my favourite would probably be creating mockups for sales. It allows me to get really creative which I enjoy and I always want to help make a good impression on the clients we’re pitching ideas to.
What led you to OPEN Media?
What led me to OPEN Media was when I saw the role at first it seemed like the perfect fit for me. Then when I started doing my research into the company, it looked like such a great environment to work in, with kind people all around and that has definitely been the truth since starting!
What is the thing you are most looking forward to at OPEN Media this year?
I think what I’m most looking forward to at OPEN Media this year will be working on our different CSR campaigns. Especially after being able to provide a bit of help with International Women’s Day, and now being able to fully help with Pride, I have enjoyed seeing how excited different individuals have been on being able to be involved and can’t wait to see what else we can make here for everyone!
