Platform for Good – Teenage Cancer Trust

No description.

Yesterday we were honoured to win outstanding ‘Gift in Kind’ support at the Altogether Unstoppable Partnership Awards 2022, for helping Teenage Cancer Trust raise awareness of critical fundraising events across the country!

Here at OPEN, using our ‘platform for good’ has been a pillar in our business strategy since the start, and we’re proud to use our powerful national platform to deliver important messages, and shine a light on causes we feel could use our help to reach their goals.

We’ve worked closely with Teenage Cancer Trust for the past two years, which is an organisation that is important to all of us here. The trust do some truly amazing work, such as offering care and support specifically designed to help young people who have been diagnosed with cancer. They fund specialised nurses, youth workers and hospital units in the NHS which allows young people to have dedicated staff and facilities to support them throughout their treatment as well as running events designed to to help young people regain their independence and connect with others going through something similar.

Our MD, Mike Smith, sits on the North West advisory board of the charity and has recently completed two marathons for the cause!

In addition to this, we’ve donated just over a quarter of a million pounds in screen space to the various initiatives the charity has ran throughout the course of 2022, ranging from informative campaigns to event promotion for their concert series at the Royal Albert Hall. For us, this is an amazing way to demonstrate the power of Out of Home, by aiding in supporting TCT’s campaigns across the country to reach as many people as possible.

We’re honoured to have received this award, and can’t wait to continue working with Teenage Cancer Trust in 2023 to support them in any way we can.

“It was so hard to choose the winners this year with over 130 nominees being put forward across the 10 categories, which is a testament to how incredible your achievement is!

You should be immensely proud – thank you so much for your contribution to Teenage Cancer Trust this year.”
